My apologies for the lack of posting. I've been trying to be better about that. Things at work have been crazy, and there are the holidays to get ready for... We head to sunny FLA in 5 days, and I have NOTHING ready. And my little Pandora kitty had surgery yesterday. Her back tooth had broken and the nerves were exposed, so she had to have it pulled. She was SCARY when we went to pick her up - not happy at all! Once we got her home and got her some pain meds and yummy food, she was much better and even playing! I think she had been in pain for a while...
As a side note, I didn't have time to make or buy coffee this morning and I am D.R.A.G.G.I.N.G. Blah.
I'll have more eye candy to post soon - I promise!

Okay. I'll be the first to admit that I am still totally obsessed with wedding blogs. I find so much non-wedding inspiration there. Plus, now that I'm not planning my own wedding, I can enjoy the beautiful photos and details without the pressure of creating something just as beautiful. Since I STILL haven't gotten my wedding photos back (they'll be up here as soon as I do), I am seeing all of these gorgeous wedding photos, and hoping mine come out just as nice...
Anyway, I got side-tracked. The point of telling you that I'm still obsessed with wedding blogs, is so you don't totally judge me when I put my favorites of the week up, and they happen to be slightly wedding related.

The photos...
I have been getting my wedding week post ready. Writing down things that I remember, writing when I'm inspired. It was such a long week, and the ceremony went by so fast, that I have had to take some time to digest everything. ANYWAY... the professional pics were originally slated to deliver 3 weeks post-wedding. Now, it's looking more like 5 weeks (which puts a huge ugly damper on my family Christmas gift ideas...) So, the moral of this post, have patience with me, because I'm doing my best to have patience with the lack of photos.

Feeling taupe
Well, the first week of December is pretty much gone, and I have no (that's right - ZERO) gifts started, much less finished. This whole making all my gifts might pose a problem...
I have, however, redecorated my bedroom! Hooray! What once was little-boy/Caribbean blue is now a lovely warm latte. That's right. B-O-R-I-N-G taupe. I finally managed to unpack, get rid of the clutter and clean the dust and cat hair from top to bottom. We painted the ceiling clean white and the trim shiny white. The walls are glorious and warm and neutral, and now I can do whatever I please with bedspreads and curtains. We also rearranged the furniture, so now it feels like there is so much more room. Plus, the bed is not under the window anymore, so no more kitties walking on my head and nightstand to get in the window. The only problem? I haven't been able to get used to sleeping on the other side of the room, or get up for work! I feel like I've been going-going-going with finishing up my masters degree, and then planning the wedding. I haven't even got any thank you cards written, and now it's time to do Christmas cards, decorating, and gifts. Yet, instead of focusing on Project Wedding Wrap-up or Christmas, I have dedicated my every waking thought to decorating my house.
Perhaps that is to get rid of the thoughts I'm having of wasting away my creativity along with my last pre-children years & late-20s... I feel like I should be doing more artwork. I feel like I could really find my niche and manage to make a little business out of it. Something that could bring in some income once I have kids (don't get excited - we've got a few years to go). I know my husband's SUPER talented, and yet... We spend anywhere from 11 - 12 hours per day commuting to & from and being at work. By the time we get home, make dinner, eat, and clean up, we've burned 2 more hours. If we sleep for 7 hours (I really do better with 9), that leaves us with 3-4 hours of our own time. We do like to have clean clothes, and occasionally hang out with each other and watch a movie.... And once I have that 3-4 hours, I'm beat. I've been staring at a computer all day, so the last thing I want to do is turn mine on. I'm tired, and when I get tired, I get fussy (yes, I may as well be an infant - you should see me tired AND hungry), and every little hiccup frustrates the hell out of me, so I know better than to start a sewing or silk screening project. And then, there are the weekends. Why are there always so many things to do? We have no less than 4 social requirements this weekend, and I have no less than 10 things to do (which have been on my to do list since BEFORE the wedding), not to mention a stack of thank you cards I can't even bear to look at... Have I mentioned that I like to have clean clothes?
Is my whining irritating the crap out of you yet?
