I'm back!

And oh, what a crazy 2 weeks it has been. I am sick, so that pretty much sucks. I, of course, haven't uploaded any Brazil pics yet, but I have a sneaking suspicion they'll be uploaded this weekend. Brazil already feels like ages ago, and I've only been back for two days. Also, I feel like I've missed months here in the U.S. I came back to a new president, which is supremely awesome. It was the main cover story in Brazil & everyone was talking about it! (Not that I could understand very much - Portuguese is hard.) I found out Domino magazine is going the way of Blueprint and shutting down. Which sucks really bad. If you're out and about in the Indie blog world, you will read about how super bummed everyone is.
And just as another teaser... the wedding pics are in! I should have them up this weekend as well. So next week will be a very busy blogging week!

I'm not always great at blogging, but I have been making an effort as of late. However, my blog and I are going on vacation! We'll be back with lots of lovely vacation pics and some around the blogosphere eye candy on the 27th!

London Shop Fronts

These photos are part of the London Shop Fronts Project. As I was riding from Mt. Vernon to Hamilton on Sunday, I was thinking this would be a really interesting project to do here in Baltimore. There are so many interesting buildings, architecture, and store fronts here in the city that get overlooked on a day to day basis...

Christmas in Florida

Christmas Eve - Sunset
I took some photos from the car on our way to Nick's aunt's house.
This is Nick's parents' view from thier driveway, AKA the site of our wedding. It's so gorgeous even without flowers and a bride. :)

December 26th - boating
We went out on the boat with Nick's brother, TJ. It was great. We got to enjoy the amazing natural Florida sites (think before air conditioning and snow birds), the sun, watching skydivers, and some Corona. A perfect afternoon.

December 27 - Nick's Birthday!
We spent the day thrift shopping, eating, and walking along the beach. Another perfect day!

A random shot from my MIL's porch.

Ten Resolutions

Maybe if my New Year's resolutions are here for all to see, I'll be more inclined to follow through...

1. Make my home into a place that is condusive to creating (purge, organize & decorate).
2. Make more homemade meals (frozen pizza sucks).
3. Sew some dresses & curtains.
4. Wear more red, turquoise, and yellow.
5. Get out of (toxic) debt.
6. Read more books.
7. Don't get stressed & grumpy so often (stupid traffic).
8. Take more photographs (and get them printed).
9. Learn a language.
10. Start an Etsy business.

I heart anything Johnny Depp

But I ESPECIALLY LOVE this shoot for August's French Glamour of Johnny and his Mrs. (Vanessa Paradis) They are so beautiful and French-chic. Le sigh.

My love/hate relationship with J.Crew

I got this email today that said "J.CREW'S NEW SPRING ARRIVALS!"

This is wrong on so many levels.

1.) I'm on a budget
2.) It's January
3.) I like the old stuff that's on sale, but I still can't buy
4.) It's FREEZING outside (did I mention it's January?)
5.) I'M ON A FREGGIN BUDGET!!! :)

So... Here are a couple of new favorites. And for those of you who DO have money, here are some of the amazing sales on old favorites I still love a season later.

I LOVE this look!

Fun new necklace

I love this dress. I just wish it were seperates.

This is the gorgeous pencil skirt currently on sale for $80!

Here's that same pencil skirt in a different color, but paired with the Merino cardigan (only $30!)

Super cute Hayden heels, unfortunately they only have a size 6 left.

So minty & shiny!
