Okay, so where were we? Oh, yes. Everything was set up and lovely, and then it was going to rain, and everyone took the stuff inside. For the most part, that worked out fabulously. Dinner was more intimate, and it gave us a place to dance later on! Unfortunately our cute homemade photobooth (with props!) didn't get used (someone took the camera in so it didn't get rained on), but that didn't stop us from taking some crazy fun photos. I'm pretty sure Nick had possession of the point and shoot all night long and took lots of videos and "mean face" pictures. If you're interested in seeing the whole lot, let me know and I'll send you the snapfish link.
Anyway, after our professional pictures, we did a bunch of mingling before going into the tent. After dinner, we did some more mingling! The weather had blown over and it was beautiful outside, so the caterer (and some more burly men) moved the entire drink station outside. The desserts were also served outside. Our awesome DJ (seriously, he was amazing. If you're in need of a DJ in central FL, go to Charlie) packed his stuff back up and moved to the original location!
Mingling in the tent.... Actually, Annike is fixing me while I pretend to be sexy.
Check out those mouse ears!

Taking a break before the dancing begins

Cutting the "cake." We actually had amazing little desserts from the local, independently owned Buttercup Bakery. Delicious!

A painting of our invite envelope! A perfect gift from Shaun.

Our first dance. This was incredibly spontaneous. I didn't know what I wanted to dance to, or when I wanted to do it. We hadn't practiced anything, and I didn't want a bunch of people standing around us... The song came on, and I pulled Nick into the clearing and said we have to dance now! Pink Martini's "Let's Never Stop Falling in Love" will always have a special place in my heart that brings me back to a crisp Florida night dancing under the stars and oaks.

We really did have sparklers... I think this is the only picture I have of them. It kind of looks like Jordan is in outer space... Weird.
